Hey I’m Meredith. I’m a New Englander living in Texas.
I moved to Austin from New York City via New Orleans and Rhode Island. I work at the University of Texas by day, and I’m a blogger, freelance food writer, and amateur charcutier by night. My work has appeared on Culinate and Farm to Table.
I also cook, garden, and bike in skirts. Occasionally I bake. I try to take photographs. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
I enjoy the challenge of daunting food projects, and I think more people should cook from scratch. Biscuits of Today is a blog chronicling these cooking adventures as well as my food emotions (I have a lot of them). The name is a tribute to one of my favorite books Tomato Blessings and Radish Teachings by Edward Espe Brown.
